Presentation Abstract:

Does a particular colleague at work just drive you nuts? Is it a boss or a colleague whose collaboration is vital and necessary to your success? How is it possible that someone’s mere presence or actions can incite in us a seemingly unstoppable emotional, defensive, or petty state of being?

“To increase your effectiveness, make your emotions subordinate to your commitments.”

A person’s leadership ability greatly depends upon their ability to control their emotional nature. In this session, Mr. Murphy will take you through an exploration journey for a proven method to ‘un-connect’ a leader’s emotions from an external party’s actions. You will identify the unconscious fears driving knee-jerk emotional states and explore steps for guiding troubled relationships to more productive places.
