COURSE DESCRIPTION: The objective of Project Management Fundamentals is to introduce the students to basic project management concepts that can be applied directly to their projects. Using a lecture and exercise format, the students will learn project management following the foundation provided in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) established by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Upon completing the class students will understand and implement the primary best practices, the project management life cycle phases, the processes within each and the inputs, outputs, and tools and techniques within each process. Upon completion of Project Management Fundamentals, student will be have an enhanced understanding on how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close their projects.
