With Member Appreciation the theme of the night, the program will start with a State of the PMI Montgomery County MD Chapter Briefing to further empower you as the members that keep our chapter going—keeping you informed on the inner workings both locally and within the larger PMI Global Enterprise. You’ll gain insider insights into upcoming initiatives, strategic priorities, and how your contributions shape our collective impact. Plus, it’s a chance to connect with fellow changemakers, celebrate our shared successes, and reignite your passion for project leadership.
We will then pivot to a kick-off of the Holiday Season. Long-time member, Technology Leader and USMC Veteran Dr. Jeffrey Jones has recently pivoted from his life of an IT Project Manager to being a proxy for our North Pole Super Star, Santa Claus during the 2-month lead-up to the big day on December 25th. Learn the origin of this professional journey and walk away with an appreciation into how this seasonal project is managed.
Discover how agile planning, stakeholder coordination, and gig-based execution come together to deliver joy at scale. This festive case study offers a playful yet practical lens into short-cycle project management and the power of purpose-driven work.
