Topic: How AI is solving the real problem in Project Controls (Schedule and Training)
PDU: 1.75 – Power Skills
Presenter: Mr. Makesi Paul, PMP
Presentation Abstract:

Project Controls has never been more critical—or more strained. Schedules are growing in complexity, teams are increasingly distributed, and the demand for rapid upskilling far outpaces traditional training models. Yet the real bottleneck isn’t tools or templates—it’s the human capacity required to keep schedules accurate, forecasts reliable, and teams trained to a consistent standard.

This session explores how Artificial Intelligence is directly addressing these long‑standing challenges by transforming the way organizations build, manage, and sustain project schedules and workforce readiness. We will examine how AI is reducing schedule churn, improving data quality, automating variance analysis, and enabling predictive insights that were previously out of reach for most PMOs.

Equally important, we will show how AI is reshaping training and competency development—turning static learning into adaptive, personalized, real‑time coaching that accelerates skill acquisition and reduces the burden on senior staff.

Learning Objectives:
Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • The actual root causes of schedule instability—and how AI mitigates them
  • How AI improves schedule quality, forecasting accuracy, and scenario planning
  • Practical examples of AI‑enabled training that reduce onboarding time and elevate PM capability
  • A roadmap for integrating AI into existing Project Controls workflows without disruption
