Presentation Abstract:

If it feels like new challenges are emerging almost daily, you have a clear sense of what the future holds for project managers. As we approach 2025, the landscape of work is rapidly evolving, with AI, the rise of Gen Z, hybrid workplaces, and sustainability becoming critical focal points. Change is never easy, but the ability to adapt and manage these shifts is perhaps the most essential skill for today’s project managers.

In this session, we will explore the key trends and transformations that will have the most significant impact on project management in the coming years. Drawing on the collective experience of PMI’s members, we will offer practical tips and strategies for navigating these challenges. Attendees will gain insights into how to effectively lead projects in a world where technology, generational shifts, and environmental responsibility are increasingly intertwined. Join us to prepare for the workplace of tomorrow and to ensure you’re equipped to thrive in this dynamic new environment.

Presentation Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the Impact of Emerging Technologies: Participants will gain insights into how AI and other emerging technologies are reshaping project management practices and learn how to effectively integrate these tools into their workflows.
  • Navigate the Multigenerational Workforce: Attendees will explore the unique characteristics of Gen Z in the workplace and develop strategies to foster collaboration and productivity in a multigenerational, hybrid work environment.
  • Adapt to Hybrid Workplace Dynamics: Participants will learn how to manage the complexities of hybrid workplaces, including best practices for communication, team cohesion, and maintaining project momentum across different work settings.
  • Incorporate Sustainability into Project Management: Attendees will understand the growing importance of sustainability in project management and learn how to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into their projects to meet the demands of 2025 and beyond.
