Topic: Designing and Diagnosing Teams for High Performance

Presenters: Geraldine Canty, PMP and Germaine Watts, MIR Co-founders of Predictive Potential LLC

Presenter Bios:

Germaine and Geraldine (Geri) are co-founders of Predictive Potential LLC, a boutique consulting firm specializing in using predictive behavioral analytics for performance improvement. They do this by helping individuals with professional development, leadership coaching, and finding their best career fit for a successful and satisfying career and life. In addition, they diagnose team dysfunction and creating the right behavioral composition teams for high-performance in specific contexts, e.g., business change, digital transformations, strategy execution.
Geraldine (Geri) is a former PMO executive.  She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Master’s Certificate in Information Technology Project Management from George Washington University, certifications in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance, Neuroscience of Change Coaching, Prosci Change Management, SuccessFinder business level practitioner, PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile CSM.
________________
Germaine’s work has focused on workforce design, succession planning, team-based resourcing, and organizational performance assessment and improvement in the nuclear energy, workers’ compensation, and healthcare sectors. With degrees in Business Administration and Industrial Relations, complemented by continuing studies in Integral Psychology and Organization Development, she brings a unique perspective to developing vibrant and effective human systems: the intelligent, adaptive, and creative dimension of every organization.
Germaine has pioneered new approaches to integrating human and organizational factors into designing and implementing process-based integrated management systems in high-reliability settings. She has published her ground-breaking approaches to building resilient organizations in a series of White Papers and a handbook, Process-based Management Systems for High-Reliability Organizations. Co-authored with John Paciga Ph.D., this handbook provides whole system organizational designers and systemic change agents step-by-step guidance on applying her approaches to aligning meaning, propensities, and systems in support of high performance.

Presenters’ Websites:
Creating high-performing project teams has never been more important! From understanding what makes individuals ‘tick’ to helping groups excel, the onus is on leaders to bring the insight, emotional intelligence, and creativity needed to make high performance happen. Fortunately, the science of behavioral DNA is here to help. Rather than relying on old formulas like – “forming, storming, norming, and performing” – to understand what is going on, leaders can now use the power of predictive behavioral analytics to diagnose team challenges, leverage team strengths, and develop strategies to compensate for team blind spots.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Key things the audience will be learning through participating in the session:

1) The 8 most important team ‘functionalities’ that support this new reality,
2) What specific natural behavioral competencies make each functionality possible
3) What the steps involved are in assessing whether a team has what it needs to excel in the functionalities
4) When to use conscious collaboration, team member development, and team redesign to solve chronic team performance issues
