Presenters: Mr. Matthew Lowy (PMP, PMI-SP, MBA, ITIL Practioner, CSM, CQA, CMQ-OE), Current Chapter VP of Communications
Presenter Bio:
Mr. Lowy has climbed the ranks of Project Management in the IT sector since 2001 when he was on Active Duty in the Marine Corps. With his current journey of serving as a Portfolio Innovation Manager for the Air Force’s Digital Transformation, Mr. Lowy’s venture into modernized platforms and modernized and disclipined agile practices has been a great transition point for his career of which he has continues his lifelong learning commitment adding to his three degrees and eight active industry certifications. Mr. Lowy has served as a Chapter Board Member since 2015 and is committed to the growth of project management in terms of knowledge and industry reputation.
Presentation Abstract:
With the 7th Edition of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) now available for all members to download, the question on the minds of many is what has changed. Mr. Lowy has reviewed the 370 pages of digital content and is ready to share what he has learned. Join us as we discuss the transition from the process-oriented knowledge areas that we all know well to the new PMI scope of Project Management Principals. Another major change deals with the 5 phase process approach transition to project performance domains. You will walk away with some great knowledge to take back to your offices and may just leave inspired to review the new reference yourself!
