Presentation Abstract:

Modern day projects need more than just tracking requirements, milestones and schedules. A more sophisticated understanding of the user experience ensures that the right solution is being crafted that will be sustainable to your user community. The three stages of design thinking (Collaboration, Innovation and Acceleration) are a great complement to project management frameworks, waterfall, agile and hybrid alike. Join us as the leadership team from Throughline Inc., one of the nation’s leading enterprise design strategy firms walks us through the power of human centered design with examples of failed projects that were re-worked with design thinking and achieved unprecedented success.

Presenters Bio: 

Mr. Brandon Jones recently assumed the CEO position at Throughline Inc. He previously served as the CIO of Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies (WAEPA), where he led the non-profit’s Digital Evolution Efforts and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining WAEPA, Mr. Jones served as a management consultant at PwC leading their Cybersecurity efforts within the Department of Navy and served as the Principal Deputy CIO at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) where he oversaw a $120M IT budget that supported a worldwide operation, spanning seventeen major component commands and over 100 remote offices.

Mr. Duchesne kicked off his professional career at Throughline as a project coordinator & strategist where he mastered design strategy. He brought that to other companies in his roles within Sr. account leadership. He then returned to Throughline where he delivers design-centered solutions in his Program Management role for top clients.
