October 2017 PMI Project Showcase

Wednesday, October 4th
5:40pm to 6:30pm

Topic: PM Benchmarking: Overcoming Renewable Energy Project Challenges

Mr. Ron Griffin (PMP, Certified PACT Facilitator)
12 year Chapter Member, Former Chapter Officer

Presentation Summary:

Please join us for a discussion regarding the challenges of implementing renewable energy projects that have a fixed price, fixed end date (schedule) and fixed performance parameters. These projects are Government owned but privately financed which significantly complicates the stakeholder environment. They are performance based and are considered high risk / high reward. As the project executive, there are significant challenges including successfully completing the first project type which in this case was the first Government Wind Turbine Farm with a project team that were also first timers executing this type of project scope.
(0.75 PDU awarded - Technical Project Management)
